The General Office of the State Council has recently issued Circular no. 11 (2021) about the arrangement of the Public Holidays in 2022 in the People’s Republic of China.
There are currently seven official public holidays in China.
Public Holidays for 2023
|New Year’s Day||Dec 31, 2022 — Jan 2, 2023||three days|
|Spring Festival||Jan 21 — Jan 27||seven days|
|Qingming Festival||April 5||one day|
|Labor Day||April 29 — May 3||five days|
|Dragon Boat Festival||June 22 — June 24||three days|
|Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day||Sept 29 — Oct 6||eight days|
Please note that for any employee working during an official public holiday, the employer shall grant no less than 300% of the normal wage that would be paid.
